Google Calendar

If your day is already described by meetings, you can import them as time entries instead of retyping them. The connection is read-only: wallticker reads your events and never writes anything back to your calendar.

  1. Go to Settings, then Integrations, and press Connect. Google asks you to sign in and to approve read-only access to your events.
  2. You come back to the same settings page with a confirmation, showing which Google account is linked and since when.
  3. On the Calendar page, press "Import meetings". The dialog opens on the month the calendar is showing, and has its own month steppers.
  4. Pick the meetings you want, individually or a whole day at a time, and optionally give them all one project and some tags.
  5. Import. You get a count of what landed, what was already imported, and what was skipped.

Meetings you have declined and all-day events are never offered. A meeting you already imported shows as such and cannot be imported twice, and one that would overlap an entry you already have is disabled with the conflict named. If the import lands entries in a different month from the one you were looking at, closing the dialog takes you there.

Disconnecting deletes the stored access and revokes it at Google. Entries you already imported are ordinary entries and stay exactly where they are. If the access expires or is revoked from Google's side, wallticker notices and asks you to reconnect rather than failing quietly.
